KAIST's innovative teaching and learning model that reduces the proportion of lectures and practices diverse and creative teaching methods centered on student-led interaction and team learning,
and programs that reduce one-way teaching methods and expand active learning centered on student participation.

Purpose

A teaching and learning environment is formed
by increasing the proportion of student-led activities and interactions
by more than 50%.

    • Less unidirectional lectures
      • Switching to online learning before class
      • Interactive learning and teaching
  • Active learning
    • Student-centered active learning
      • Student participation such as project-based learning, problem solving and team learning
      • Building creativity and cooperative skills
    • Activities to reach learning goals
      • Effective internalization of learned material
      • Mutual learning and teaching between students and between teaching assistants and students

Guide to Education4.0 Q Program
  • Edu4.0 Q
    • Recognize all courses as Edu4.0 Q with more than 50% student-led activities and interaction , regardless of online ∙ in person courses
  • Applicable Courses
    • All courses including mandatory general, basic, major (Bachelor and graduate programs)

      Research courses and courses in which the hour allocated to classroom lectures is 0(zero), are excluded.

  • How to Apply
    • Confirmation of Edu4.0 Q application notice before spring/fall semester (sending guide material to department)
    • If the proportion of ‘Lecture’ is less than 50% in the syllabus ‘Education4.0 Q’ menu in the Academic system.
